Yalcin Suer, CLP

    Yalcin Suer is the founding President and CEO of Technology Licensing Inc. and provides his clients with innovative revenue generating services through technology licensing, intellectual property audit and intellectual asset management.  He received the Certified Licensing Professional designation, a very select group of licensing experts.

    Yalcin has extensive experience in both in-bound and out-bound technology licensing and technology transfer. Prior to forming Technology Licensing Inc., Yalcin initiated and provided leadership to a world-class team in generating significant revenue in Nortel Networks through technology licensing. Transferring to Bell Canada, Yalcin set up the technology licensing function there and secured multi-million dollar revenue and income in one year.

    Yalcin understands start up businesses. He provided leadership to a team of technologists and spun them out of Nortel Networks after negotiating and securing VC funding (of US$5 million) for the team in spite of very unfavourable market conditions. He was the key driver in Bell Canada for another spin-out, Rev D Networks. He helped secure VC funding of US$14 million for the group, negotiate the term sheet as well as other commercial agreements.

    Yalcin Suer holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and has significant experience in the telecommunications and software industries. He is a member of Licensing Executive Society and the Association of Managers for Innovation. He taught at the Management Sciences Faculty of McGill University and also at the University of Alabama in Birmingham (USA).
