Mr. Turner has over twenty-five years experience
in the software, process control and telecommunications industries where he
has held senior positions in technology licensing, product marketing,
management and hands-on product development. He understands business and
technology and what it takes to succeed in today’s rapidly changing business
climate. Mr. Turner’s team building, negotiation and leadership skills have
made him an invaluable resource to businesses who are developing and
executing strategies to leverage the value of their intellectual property
and their research and development portfolios.
Bob formed Turner Technology Strategies in 2001. Its mission is to assist other
companies to maximize their return on research and development through
licensing, tax credits, and grants.
Prior to forming TTS Mr. Turner held various development and senior managerial
positions for eighteen years at Nortel Networks. At Nortel Networks, he last
held the position of Technology Licensing Executive with responsibility for the
formation, and implementation of technology licensing programs, licensing Nortel
Networks' proprietary technology to others. Some of his licensing projects
included audio processing algorithms, silicon chip designs, voice recognition
technology, telephone set designs, tooling and communications protocols.
Mr. Turner holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of
Waterloo, Ontario. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and is a member of the
Licensing Executives Society, the Toronto Computer Lawyers' Group, and the
Ontario Society of Professional Engineers.
